Plastic processing enterprises can also use different resin for screw cleaning materials according to their own production conditions, which can save a small amount of money for the unit.

(3) choose the correct cleaning method.

The first step of cleaning the screw is to turn off the feeding insert, which is to close the bottom of the hopper.
Then reduce the speed of the screw to 15-25r/min and maintain this speed until the melt flow stops flowing at the front end of the die.
Barrel all the heating zone temperature should be set at 200 ° C.
Once the cylinder reaches this temperature, start cleaning immediately.
According to different extrusion process (may need to remove the die head to reduce the risk of extruder front high pressure), so when cleaning must be done by one person: the operator from the control panel to observe the screw rotation speed and torque, at the same time observe the extrusion pressure to ensure that the system pressure is not too high.
During the whole process, the screw speed should be kept within 20r/min.
In the application of low pressure die head, do not remove the die head to clean.
From processing in extrudate resin is converted into clean resin in full stop immediately and remove the die head, and then restart the screw (speed within 10 r/min), so that the residual cleaning resin.

(4) correct and appropriate tools and cleaning materials should include:

Then use the copper wire net to remove the remaining residue. After the entire screw is polished by the copper wire mesh, the last step is wiped with cotton cloth.
This is to ensure that the next production of the screw does not carry any contaminants.
After the screw has been completely cleaned, it can be put aside until the other tools are completely cleaned.
If the screw needs to be preserved, it should be coated with grease to prevent rust.

Never use steel tools such as steel screwdrivers, scrapers, or pry bars to remove plastic from the screw, because steel can damage the surface of the screw and cylinder.

How to clean the cylinder correctly?

It is easier and easier to clean the drum than to clean the screw, but it is also very important.

1) when preparing cleaning machine barrel, barrel temperature was set at 200 ° C.

2) screw the round steel brush with the drill pipe and the electric drill as cleaning tools, and then cover the steel brush with copper wire mesh.

3) before inserting the cleaning tool into the cylinder, put some stearic acid into the cylinder, or sprinkle stearic acid on the copper wire of the cleaning tool;

4) when the copper wire net enters the cylinder, the electric drill is started to rotate, and the front and back motions are made artificially, until the front and rear movement become free of resistance;

5) after the copper wire is removed from the cylinder, use a piece of cotton cloth to wipe back and forth in the cylinder to remove any cleaning resin or residue of stearic acid;
After several times of this wipe, the cleaning of the machine can be accomplished.
After thorough cleaning the screw and barrel can be assembled at any time for the next production!!

Clean the color change, feed screw and die attention.
